The brief
Beregynia is a charitable foundation based in Kropyvnytskyi, in central Ukraine. Its registered name is the charitable organisation “Charitable Society ‘Berehynia of Ukraine’” (EDRPOU 39583481), and the register lists the same address that the foundation printed on its website.
The foundation presented itself as created by women and took its name from the image of the berehynia: the Ukrainian woman as keeper of the home, protector of the family, loving mother and caring hostess, and in mythology a guardian spirit and talisman.
Its About block opened with February 2022 and the war. It introduced a team of professionals, benefactors, volunteers and friends united by shared values, and two directions of work. The first, help for the children of Ukraine, was addressed to Ukrainian and foreign institutions and to people who want to support Ukrainian children. The second was material and technical support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Across the sector, small regional foundations compete for attention with large national funds. Donors look first for a clear focus, named founders and evidence of what the money does. In 2023 Marketing MIX developed the foundation's website.
What we did
The footer of the site read “Website development in the marketing studio” with the MMIX logo, and the page metadata named MMIX.UA as the author.
Two directions up front
The home page led with the two directions of the foundation's work, “Children: help for the children of Ukraine” and “Army: support for the army of Ukraine”, followed by the About block.
Founders and volunteers
The site named its founders: Liudmyla Voloshyna, founder of “Berehynia of Ukraine”, and Volodymyr Pylat, founder of Boiovyi Hopak and president of its international federation. A volunteers section presented three volunteer profiles.
Structure and languages
The menu covered Who we are, What we do, Other projects, Blog and Contacts, with a “Support” button and a switch to the English version, which included its own contacts page. The header showed the foundation's phone and email, with links to its Facebook and YouTube. The site also had a page for the foundation's centre, a privacy policy and terms of use.
Technical base
Pages had a mobile viewport, Open Graph tags for link previews in social networks and messengers, and a Google tag.
Where it stands today
Internet Archive captures from 22 July 2023 to 6 March 2025 show the same design and the Marketing MIX credit throughout. In 2024 the phone number on the site was updated, and by March 2025 the footer showed “© 2025”.
On 14 September 2026 the domain beregynia.org is no longer registered, and the site is offline. The legal entity, EDRPOU 39583481, remains registered in the Ukrainian state register as of its 8 September 2026 update. We found no current website for the foundation.
Several unrelated organisations in Ukraine and abroad use the name Berehynia. This case concerns the Kropyvnytskyi foundation with the registry code above.
What we would add now
If the foundation relaunched its website, these are the additions we would recommend, based on the archived 2025 version.
A transparency page
The home page showed no registry code, and the menu had no reports section. A page with the EDRPOU code, yearly reports and short accounts of what each direction delivered answers the questions donors ask before they give.
Structured data for search and AI assistants
The archived pages had no structured data. NGO markup for the foundation, DonateAction for the support page and Person markup for the founders help search engines and AI assistants tell this foundation apart from others with a similar name. A post-launch technical check
After any launch or migration, we check canonical and hreflang links, the sitemap and indexing against the live domain, because addresses left over from development are among the most common launch errors. See SEO services in Ottawa: technical and local SEO.
Domain continuity
The domain, the blog and the history of the foundation's work went offline together. We would register the domain in the foundation's name with automatic renewal and keep a static archive of reports and posts.
