What the quiz asks and why
The six questions are the ones a studio needs before it can price a website honestly:
- The job. A new site, a redesign, a rescue of a broken or outdated site, an online store or a booking site.
- Who the site is for. A local service business, a shop, a professional practice, a non-profit or a personal project.
- What the site must do. Be found on Google and in AI answers, bring enquiries, take bookings, take payments, work in English and French, answer customers with an AI assistant.
- What it runs on today. This tells us whether there is content and search history to protect.
- When you want to start.
- Your budget band. It decides which scope we propose.
The last step asks where to send the estimate. Nothing is published, and the answers are used only to reply to you.
What moves the cost of a website
- Pages you need written. Copy takes longer than code. A site where we write every service page costs more than one built from text you already have.
- Languages. A bilingual English and French site is two sites to write and check, plus the hreflang and URL structure that keeps them apart in search.
- Bookings and payments. A calendar connected to your staff schedule, deposits, reminders, a store with taxes and shipping: each one is an integration to build and test.
- The site you have today. Moving an existing site means mapping every old address to a new one, so rankings and links carry over. A first site has nothing to protect and starts faster.
- Photography. Real photos of your work, team and premises do more for enquiries than any layout, and a shoot is a line in the estimate when you do not have them.
- Ongoing work. Hosting, updates, search work and ads after launch are quoted separately, so you can stop any of them without losing the site.
What you get with the estimate
- One figure for the scope, in writing.
- The list of pages and features it covers.
- The timeline from start to launch.
- What we need from you: texts, photos, access to the domain and current site.
