The brief

Yulia Kurylo is a Kyiv attorney-at-law who works on one narrow and expensive question: when the directors and owners of a company answer for its debts and damages with their own money. Her clients are directors facing claims from owners, owners recovering losses caused by a former manager, and creditors of a bankrupt company who go after the people who controlled it. Her practice brand is JK LAW.

A practice like this is bought on trust and found by name. A director who has just received a claim types the attorney's name after a recommendation, or reads an article of hers in the legal press and goes looking for the person behind it. The site had to do three things for that reader in the first minute: show who she is and what she does, make it obvious that his situation is one she handles, and let him ask for a consultation without hunting for a phone number.

The project ran in 2025. Marketing MIX built the site and supports it; the footer of jklaw.pro carries the line "Development and support" with our logo.

What we built

A home page sorted by who is at risk

The first screen is the attorney herself, with her name, the line "Attorney at law, expert in corporate law", the one-sentence focus of the practice (liability of directors and business owners) and a consultation button. Right under it, six practice cards: risk assessment, protection of directors, protection of business owners, support of claims in corporate disputes, help to the creditors of a bankrupt, and business structuring with asset protection. Each card lists the concrete disputes it covers, such as recovery of damages at the request of owners, termination of powers, or joint and subsidiary liability for the company's debts in insolvency proceedings. A reader recognises his own case in the list before he reads a single paragraph about the firm.

Three service pages, one per client

The services menu splits the practice by the reader's role: legal advice to creditors, protection of top managers and directors, and protection of business owners. Each page opens with the risk in plain words, then explains the mechanism behind it (subsidiary and joint liability for the company's debts, claims for damages caused to the company) and closes with the attorney's introduction and a consultation request. The pages are written so that a director who has never heard the term "subsidiary liability" still understands what is at stake for his own house and savings.

News, events and cases as proof

In this field a lawyer proves expertise in public: articles in the legal press, comments on Supreme Court rulings, talks at professional events. The site gives that work a home. The news section carries her analytical pieces, such as a note on the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court ruling that held the controlling persons of a bank liable after it left the market, with a link to the full article in the legal weekly "Yurydychna Praktyka". The events page lists her talks, and the cases page tells her path in her own words: private practice since 2001, debt-recovery projects from 2009 to 2017, then the liability of directors and owners as the core of the practice, followed by worked examples sorted by industry.

Two languages and a short way to a consultation

The site answers in Ukrainian at the root and in English under /en/, and the two versions are tied together with hreflang, so search engines show each reader his own language. The English version serves the foreign co-owners, investors and counterparties who take part in corporate disputes in Ukraine. A contact bar with a tap-to-call number and e-mail sits on top of every page, Facebook, Telegram and LinkedIn links sit next to it, and the "Order a consultation" button in the header opens a request form in the practice's CRM.

What the site does today

On 31 October 2026 jklaw.pro is live in both languages, with the six practice cards, three service pages, news, events and cases described above. This case gives no traffic or enquiry figures: we hold no client figures we could cite with a source, so the case describes the task and the build.
