A redesign that keeps every working URL, adds a 301 for each moved page and rebuilds the look, mobile layout and request path. Fixed price for small sites.
Send your site address. We look at the site, your ads and your search presence and send back what to fix first and a one-month plan. Ads management is quoted after the review.
Korvex Construction, Ottawa: 130 pages of the new site appeared in Google Search in its first month, 27 Sep – 28 Oct 2026. Read the case →
A redesign fits a site that still opens, still gets some visitors from Google and still carries your phone number, while the look, the phone layout and the way people ask for a quote have fallen behind the business. The usual signs:
On a phone the visitor has to scroll three screens before a call button appears.
The service list describes what you sold five years ago.
The contact form asks for ten fields, so requests only come by phone.
Pages take several seconds to show on mobile data.
The photos are stock images or jobs you would no longer show.
You hesitate before sending a customer to the site.
If the site is broken, hacked or nobody holds the passwords, the job starts as a rescue. Moving off Wix, Squarespace or an old WordPress? See website migration and rescue.

Website estimate
Who is the site for?
Price
One-page and multi-page sites have a fixed price, paid once; online stores are quoted separately.
The quiz at the foot of this page starts from a redesign. It asks about pages, languages and features, then we reply with a written estimate for your scope; the same quiz with every starting point is on the website cost estimate page. The full list of what we sell and what it costs is on the pricing page. If you want to talk first, book a 30-minute strategy session for €100; you leave it with a written plan for the next step.
What we change
The look. One clean layout system: your logo and colours, a short set of type sizes, real photos of your work, the same page blocks reused across the site so it reads as one business.
The phone layout. Every page is designed at phone width first. Buttons are big enough for a thumb, the phone number is a tap-to-call link, and a sticky button brings the request form back from anywhere on the page.
The request path. A call button, a short form that takes a phone number or an email in one field, a quote quiz or a booking calendar, whichever matches how your customers buy. Each request reaches you by email and, when you want it, in a chat on your phone.
Speed. Images are resized for each screen, heavy plugins and sliders go, and pages are served as static files where the site allows it.
The text. One page per service, with the town, what the job includes and how the quote works, written in plain language.
Measurement. Calls, form submissions and quiz completions are counted as separate events in analytics, so you can see which page brings requests.
What we keep
Every URL with search history. Pages that receive impressions in Search Console keep their address. A page that has to move gets a 301 redirect to its closest new page, listed in the URL map you approve.
Titles that already bring clicks. We read the queries each page receives before rewriting its title and headings, and keep the words that work.
Your Search Console and analytics history. Same domain, same properties, so the data continues across the launch.
Domain, email and accounts. They stay in your business's name.
Content that brings requests. It is edited where the facts changed and left alone otherwise.
How a redesign runs
Audit of the current pages. A crawl of every URL, the Search Console export of pages and queries, the analytics, and a note of which pages bring calls and forms.
URL map. A table with one row per old address: keep, merge or move, and the new address with its 301. You see it before any design work starts.
Design on a fixed system. Type, colours and page blocks are agreed on two sample pages, the home page and one service page, on a phone first and then on a desktop.
Build on a staging copy. You review the new pages at a private address; the current site stays online the whole time.
Launch with the 301 map. On launch day we request every old address and check that it answers with the new page or a single redirect to it. Forms and phone links are tested the way a customer would use them.
Search Console check after launch. Sitemap submitted, coverage and 404 reports read, queries per page compared with the weeks before. Once in the first days, again after about four weeks.
Work we can show
OH! Catering, Ottawa (a partner business). We built the site in five languages and on 14 October 2026 rebuilt its home page around a four-field quote form. Google Search clicks per week: 2 in the week of 31 August, 65 in the week of 19–25 October 2026. Read the case.
Mr. Gary, Montreal. A spring landing page at mrgary.ca is being replaced by a 116-page English and Quebec French site for one service, with redirects from every old address mapped before the switch. The new site is ready on a staging address and the switch waits on the client. Read the case.
Korvex Construction, Ottawa. A first site for a company that had only social profiles: service pages, project pages written from the owner's job photos and a quiz for each offer. It shows the page anatomy we bring to a redesign. Read the case.
We moved our own Canadian site, mmix.ca, from MODX to a static build with the same URL map and redirect check described above; that move is covered on the website rescue and migration page.
Redesign or a new site?
A redesign keeps the domain, the addresses with history and the content that works, and changes how the site looks and how it asks for work. A new site starts from a blank structure and suits a business that has never had one, or one whose old site brought nothing worth keeping. If you are not sure which one you have, send us the address through the free site review request and we answer with what we would keep and what we would change. For a first site, see small business website design.
Marketing MIX started in Kyiv in 2012; its head office has been in Ottawa since 2024 and is at 208 Booth Street. Redesigns are open to small businesses in Canada and the United States, and we work in English and French.
